There are more people like me, obviously, as the pure milk chocolate sells out quickly. But that person or computer who is in charge of restocking, be he/she/it in the shop or at the chocolate producer, doesn’t get this. This genius insists on filling up the shelves with different kinds of chocolate in equal numbers, as if this was some kind of chocolate democracy, instead of ordering more of the sort that sells more.
Hence the pure milk chocolate, the classic, the mother of all chocolates, is often sold out and only fancy-smancy flavours are left.
Cadbury, I am looking at you. Maybe you think I will buy the caramel instead. Sorry, I will not. So you are losing money when your supply chain management doesn’t deliver.
